About Us
Here is more about 'us' (and by 'us', I mean me and my sewing room, WFH)...
We all have our own Flamenco story. And we all know, once Flamenco grabs you, it never lets go. Here is just a small part of my Flamenco story...
in 2015, I was retrenched from my 9-to-5 day job. At the time, I needed a new skirt for an Alegría performance, and with plenty of time on my hands, I decided to sew my own. It turned out to be the perfect solution—and the response was unexpected and exciting! Soon, word spread, and I found myself creating costumes for Flamenco dancers who shared their visions of their dream outfits. As a dancer myself, I instinctively understood what they needed from their costumes: confidence, beauty, and freedom in their movements.
A turning point came in 2016 on my birthday, over dinner with my inspiring Flamenco friends, Joc and Sharon. When I told them about my accidental costume-making business, they urged me to make it official: “You’re onto something! Just do it! Make it official!”
Sewing has always been a part of my life. I learned as a little girl from my mum, who helped me sew my ballet costumes and even my own clothes as a teenager. She always said yes when I asked her to help me create my latest design. As an adult, my ballet world evolved into a Flamenco world, and Flamenco has been one of my greatest passions ever since.
I've had the good fortune to learn from Australia's best Flamenco teachers, study in Spain, teach, and perform Flamenco professionally at festivals, shows, and Spanish-themed events.
If you’re thinking of ordering a piece from me, rest assured—I hear you. I know what it takes to create a costume that empowers dancers to shine on stage.
